Webinars and Events

A series of three webinars will begin with the first at 1 pm Eastern Time on January 22. They are under the auspices of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence, and AME has a fee: $25 for AME members; $50 for non-members. For descriptions of all three webinars and to sign up, you can go directly to our web site, but in brief:

Jan. 22: Webinar I is how lean can reach its potential. It traces the history of lean from its sources in Toyota through today. Most companies confine lean to process improvement. Its potential is expanding the concept of waste, thinking of lean as a guide to what a working organization should be, and the mission it should have.

Feb. 11: Webinar II is about Compression Thinking for business transformation. We will present a few “principles” for doing betting while using a lot less, and discuss how that makes a huge change in a business.

Mar. 4: Webinar III will discuss how to become a Vigorous Learning Organization, how to begin applying different ideas for what a business can become. And for how both companies and communities can become much more resilient to the changes coming in the 21st century.

After the webinars, we have a live event scheduled for March 7-8, 2015 in Hartford, CT. Details should be ready by next month’s newsletter.
